Marine Life Cemetery
In collaboration with Plastic Bag Free NSW, Responsible Runners across Australia staged a pop up marine life cemetery to bring light to the destruction of ocean life by plastic pollution. With a fence of 128 plastic bags, the amount Australia uses per second, we filled the beach with tombstones and crosses. The success of the protest has led to more pressure on the Liberal government to #banthebag.
On August 13th 2015 the plastic bag ban was taken into the Parliament debate with Labor NSW supporting it.
